About 140,000 metric tons of waste tires are produced in China per year. The average amount of waste tires that need to be processed is about 11,000 metric tons per month. After processing, nearly 9,000 metric tons of film are produced. Since the waste tires are not easily decomposed in the natural environment, arbitrary disposal will cause serious environmental pollution. Currently, domestic companies have carried out the recycling and reuse of waste tires. The Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan pointed out that after the waste tires being sent to the treatment factory for crushing, they can be recycled and sorted out of the film, rubber powder, and steel wire. The rubber powder can be made into renewable raw materials, sound insulation materials, cushioning mats, yoga mats, etc. It can be made into diving suits or used on asphalt roads to endow waste tires with regeneration value and go with the green circular economy.
