This material utilizes waste floating balls and Styrofoam recycled from the ocean which are first cleaned, crushed, and mixed with a special elastomer for extrusion molding. Ocean waste contains complex substances that suffer from decreased physical properties after they are cleaned and crushed; as such, special elastomers are added to improve the material’s ductility. The composition of each recycled batch varies which is why they are mixed with varying proportions of PS/PP/PE before extrusion molding.
