This bio-based rubber foam is primarily composed of natural rubber and bio-based neoprene rubber refined from sugar cane. This is combined with oyster shell powder filler and non-vegetable oil softener as well as other additives for production through the foaming process. The amount of bio-based content (30-90%) can be adjusted based on customer requirements. In terms of applications, it can be combined with different base fabrics for use in scuba diving suits, surfing suits, protective equipment, bags, and shoes. The manufacturing of this material allows utilization of a thermal energy recycling system and can reduce carbon footprint by 50% compared to traditional CR neoprene rubber; additionally, this material has obtained production certification from USDA Biopreferred. more
