This bio-based thermoplastic foam consists primarily of a Bio-EVA made with 20% recycled EVA plastic and sugar cane extract mixed with oyster shell powder filler and non-vegetable oil softener as well as other additives for production through the foaming process. In terms of applications, it can be attached to recycled fabrics to use as a material for shoes and floor mats. In terms of the environment, the addition of oyster shell in the material decreases marine pollution while the material primarily consists of bio-based materials that can be used as a substitute for petroleum materials. more
