This material is a bio-based TPU film is made from 1,3-propanediol extracted from genetically modified corn not intended for food use and produced through blown film. In terms of the environment, TPU produced with 1,3 propanediol and propylene glycol decreases energy consumption and GHG emissions by 40% compared to petroleum based materials. This film features broad applications in clothing, home décor fabrics, as film for functional shoes, waterproof products, functional jackets, tents, and other outdoor products.
