TPU Shoe Material (PCDL from Carbon Dioxide)

The CO2 is captured in industrial chimneys, and transformed into polycarbonate diol (PCDL) liquid, then make the liquid into eco-friendly thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) pellets by chemical reaction, which can replace conventional polyurethane (PU) to make soles, athletics tracks, and other products require vibration resistance and wear resistance. By the processes of injection, lamination, filling and injection molding, the material called CO2 based on PCDL-TPU is made to combine with woven cloth, and create a TPU composite material with high flexibility. TPU composite material is not only eco-friendly, but also solves the problems in conventional materials, such as embrittlement and whiteout. Yellowing issue is also hardly happen on it. Regarding to performance testings include elongation test, tensile test, and heat resistance test, this material has better performance compare to conventional TPU. more
