Recycled PET Bottles for Knitted Fabric

1/

This fabric is made from a blend of 72% recycled polyester staple fibre derived from PET bottles and 28% recycled fabric. The blend is spun into 10s/1 or 20s/1 staple yarn and knitted into finished fabric using a circular knitting machine. Mechanical recycling technology is used, reducing the use of chemicals and eliminating the need for additional dyeing. This lowers energy consumption and carbon emissions while substantially reducing wastewater generation. The product can be recycled again after use, forming a circular system of resource reuse. The knitted fabric offers good elasticity and extensibility and is soft and resistant to wrinkling. It can also be combined with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) under heat and pressure to improve its abrasion resistance and strength. The fabric can be used to manufacture bags, footwear materials and sporting equipment, combining environmental and functional properties. The material has obtained Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and SCS recycled-content certification and was selected as a Top 5 product at the German ISPO Spring/Summer 2026 exhibition. more
