Recycled PVB and textile waste recycled mesh

1/

This recycled mesh combines two recovered materials: ENVIVE r-PVB and r-TEX. The r-PVB consists of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) recovered from end-of-life vehicle windscreens and manufacturing offcuts, while the r-TEX is made by spinning recovered textile waste into new yarn. The material consists of 40% PET, 53% r-PVB and 7% r-TEX. A specialised weaving process gives the fabric high dimensional stability and good tensile strength. It is also waterproof, ultraviolet-resistant, mould-resistant and easy to clean. Combining environmental and practical benefits, the material is suitable for indoor furniture, office screens and decorative fabrics. The use of recycled materials reduces the amount of discarded glass and textiles entering incineration or landfill systems while reducing the use of virgin plastics and associated carbon emissions. The product contains no PVC or dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent, complies with the European Union’s REACH and RoHS requirements, and has obtained Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and bluesign® certification. more
