This recyclable functional fabric made from 100% recycled polyester is based on circular-design principles. It uses recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) fibres produced from recovered PET bottles and textile waste. The fabric has a mono-material polyester structure, allowing it to be recovered and recycled after use. No conventional dyeing process is used during production. Instead, the fabric is woven exclusively from undyed yarn, reducing wastewater discharge and energy consumption during dyeing and finishing and lowering its carbon footprint. The surface retains the natural granular texture and distinctive feel of recycled fibres. Combined with polyester-coating technology, the fabric offers excellent water repellency, stain resistance and abrasion resistance. The material is suitable for luggage, bags, backpacks and outdoor equipment, combining environmental, aesthetic and functional qualities. The fabric has obtained Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and bluesign® certification and complies with the European Union’s REACH requirements. It was also selected as a Top 10 innovation in the Soft Equipment category at the ISPO Textrends Awards for Fall/Winter 2024/25 in Germany.more
