Recycling mono-material face masks through the current mask-recycling system can reduce carbon emissions associated with the production of mask materials and the incineration of discarded masks. This system can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 1.786 million tonnes per month. The resulting pellets can be used to manufacture everyday products, such as recyclable PP clothes hangers produced by injection moulding.more
