rPET IMR Surface Decoration

1/

In-mold release (IMR) is one of the most eco-friendly processes in plastic surface decoration. It utilizes the principle of printing decorative images and functional coatings (e.g.: anti-scratch, anti-bacterial, smooth touch) onto thin film and transferring the images and coating onto plastic objects through injection molding. This eliminates the need for secondary processing and decreases waste VOCs and water compared to traditional methods (e.g.: spray coating, water transfer printing, electroplating). IMR thin film transfer printing utilizes 40% rPET and decreases the use of petroleum materials. This thin film material has passed GRS certification. more
