Black Water Gadfly Manure

1/

According to data from the Ministry of Environment, Taiwan produces several thousand tons of food waste each year and is often incinerated or buried, resulting in environmental pollution to the air and soil. In order to mitigate this issue, the biological method of using black water gadflies to decompose food waste was born. Black water gadflies are a natural organism that decompose organic matter (food waste) as their primary food source as they grow. Before growing into pupa, black water gadflies decompose organic matter (food waste) as their primary food source and generate metabolites (feces) which are composed of 80% organic matter, 2% moisture, 2% nitrogen, 2% phosphoric anhydride, and 1% potassium oxide. It contains a pH value of approximately 7 and a nitro-carbon ratio of 18, giving them the characteristics identical to fertilizers needed for plant growth. more
