Reservoir Mud Ceramic Clay

1/

This material, which is sourced from mud at Shihmen Reservoir, is produced by sedimentation, grinding, and plugging. Mud from the reservoir contains clay, shale, slate, perlite, coal gangue, and fly ash allowing it to have a fine texture and optimal viscosity as a ceramic material. Due to the delicate nature of ceramic clay made from reservoir mud, it is sintered at a lower temperature compared to clay and can decrease energy consumption by approximately 10% (firing temperature of general ceramics is 1200-1250℃ while reservoir mud ceramic clay is fired at 1100-1150℃). In terms of applications, it can be used in pottery art, floor tiles, and wall tiles. more
