Silica wash is the by-product of the semiconductor production. According to the conservative estimation, the industry produce more than 24,000 tonnes of silica wash anually. It can be saperated into cutting oil, silicon, and silicon carbide after filtration. After microwave drying, the ingots can be made by mixing with different ratio of solid powder and adhesive, and pressurizing into shape. The silicon carbide ingot can be used as reducing ingots or heating ingots in steel processing. The cutting oil can be recycled as machining oil. This can mitigate the problem of silica wash, metals and various substances which infiltrate into the air, soil and groundwater. Economically, it can also replace the imported homogeneous raw materials.more
