Taiwan generates 160 thousands of waste oyster shells every year. Seawool PET yarn is the polyetser composites of waste oysters shells and PET bottles. It has functions of low conductivity, antistatic, odor control and antibacterial. Using recycled PET as fiber material can reduce 60~75% of carbon emissions. The cloth can add different yarns such as cotton for various applications. This fabric is made with 46% polyester fiber, 29% Seawool PET yarns, and 25% cotton by single knitting, which is skin friendly, warm and elastic. It contains both PET bottles and waste oyster shells, and can be applied to the cloth for T-shirt, sports wear, and yoga pants. more
