The material has the advantages of toughness, wear resistance, smoothness, lightweight, insect-proofing, mildew resistance, and the material is not easy to generate static electricity, deformation, pilling, etc. The disadvantage is that it is not heat-resistant, so be careful about the temperature when ironing. Currently, on the market, nylon 6 and nylon 66 are mainly used in sportswear. Because nylon 6 and nylon 66 have different structures, the performance is also different: nylon 6 (PA6) has a lower melting point but higher toughness. Nylon 66 (PA66) has better heat resistance than PA6, and the fabric of PA66 is softer than PA6. In terms of price, the price of PA66 is higher than that of PA6, and it is often used to make superfine fibers and make high-end clothing. Most of the high-end brands would choose the material of PA66 for clothing to achieve the soft texture of the product.
