A local textile brand collaborates with various partners across the supply chain to develop environmentally friendly fabric, responding to international market demands and brand sustainability requirements. They recycle agricultural waste, specifically “water caltrop shells (Trapa taiwanensis Nakai) ," creating highly elastic yarn. Incorporating the imagery of the Tainan city bird, the "Pheasant- tailed Jacana," the brand produces eco-friendly fabric unique to the Guantian area. The “water caltrop shells fabric" model paves the way for future sustainable fabrics. Through video documentation, the public learns about concrete practices for preserving the water pheasant habitat and reducing the environmental impact of water chestnut shell waste. With the assistance of the guidance team and partners, Water Caltrop Shells Carbon Apparel collectively reduces carbon emissions by approximately 423 tons. more
