BBM is the abbreviation of Bamboo Biodegradable Material, which is a biodegradable composite. The disposable straw is from the plastic pellets made of PBS, PLA, starch, and bamboo grind through granulation, then shaped by extrusion. PBS can increase the toughness and temperature resistance, PLA supports rigidity, bamboo grind acts as natural reinforcement material, and the starch is the adhesive of all materials. The ratio of each material is adjustable by a different application. The raw pellet has passed the German Rheinland test of free of five general plastics (PE, PP, PS, PVC, PET), and the straw product has also passed the biodegradability test. more
